The two pillars of current research in neuroscience, genetics, and neuroimaging, impose BIG DATA approaches for the validation of interpretative and decisional models.
Participation in international projects, such as ADNI (Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative) and ENIGMA (Enhancing NeuroImaging Genetics through Meta-Analysis) and local (collection of biomarkers for neurodegenerations, etc.) require the availability of parallel calculation tools and the use of algorithms of AI.
Our group of basic science researchers who have been involved in the problems of clinical neuroscience for some time are also interested in the development of clinical data management protocols compatible with European regulations.
